LIGUE DE PROTECTION DES OISEAUX
17 -

LPO is a national association for the protection of nature, recognized as being of public utility and present throughout mainland France, as well as in the French overseas territories. This territorial anchoring allows us to work on a daily basis with a large number of local authorities, particularly at the municipal and inter-municipal levels. The LPO works around 3 main missions: knowledge and protection of species; the preservation of protected natural areas (manager of 28 nature reserves); raising awareness and mobilizing society.
These areas are reflected in the diversity of the support offered to local authorities: actions to learn about local biodiversity, advice on ecological management, raising awareness among elected officials, agents, schools and citizens.
- Research and conservation of species and areas (protected areas)
- Protection of endangered species, habitats and migratory routes
