MSA - Mutualite Sociale Agricole

The MSA provides social coverage for the entire agricultural population and their dependents: farmers, employees (from farms, businesses, cooperatives, and agricultural professional organisations), and employers of labour.
With €28.1 billion in benefits paid to 5.2 million recipients, it is the second largest social protection scheme in France. The MSA offers a range of services in various areas which contributes to the attractiveness of rural areas: personal services (teleassistance, home help, childcare, retirement homes...), vocational training, social engineering, IAE... With the MSA, public authorities are addressing the leading social operator in the agricultural sector.
