"The Civil Protection aims to implement all the means at its disposal to ensure the protection of civilian populations in times of peace as well as in times of crisis or war. 32,000 volunteers, 500 local branches, and no fewer than 98 associations make up the face of Civil Protection. These dedicated men and women serving the population are involved in three main missions: Help, Rescue, and Train. In constant connection with the Ministry of the Interior, the Firefighters, and the Emergency Medical Services, Civil Protection deploys its personnel in support of Civil Security Services wherever the need arises."
