The French federation of private water companies brings together nearly all private companies ensuring public water and wastewater services in France after competitive tenders.
Its 5 members (Suez, Veolia, Saur, Sogedo, Sefo) provide tap water to 60% of the French population and wastewater management for more than half of the population. They have 28000 employees in France and 71000 in more than 40 countries. In Europe, outside France, these companies supply nearly 26 million people with drinking water and 33 million with wastewater treatment.
