Le Souvenir Français is one of France's leading memorial associations. Founded in 1887, the association is dedicated to preserving France's wartime heritage (renovation of graves, steles, plaques and monuments to the dead), and passing on the memory and history of the war through commemorative ceremonies and educational projects run in conjunction with schools: school trips, remembrance trails, a geolocation application for the graves of those who died for France in cemeteries, biographies of servicemen and women, conferences, exhibitions, etc.
