CNOSF - COMITE NAT. OLYMPIQUE ET SPORTIF FRANCAIS

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) is an association recognized as serving the public good. Created in its current form in 1972, it is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and includes among its members 108 sports federations and sports groups.
It represents the IOC in France, organizes and leads the French delegation to the Olympic Games, promotes the values of Olympism and ensures that they are respected, and nominates the candidate cities that will host Games organized or sponsored by the IOC.
It represents the Sports Movement in dealings with public authorities, particularly the Ministry of Sports and local authorities.
It carries out actions of common interest on behalf of or with its members, while respecting their prerogatives.
