Federation des centres sociaux et socioculturels

The french Federation of Social and Sociocultural Centers, a non-profit organization, gathers a network of 1,500 social centers and 60 local federations across France. Its mission are the development, animation, training, and representation of social centers. These structures offer activities and services (educational, cultural, leisure, language learning, etc.) and support collective projects and citizen initiatives. To achieve this, they base their actions on the ability of residents to develop their empowerment and to build, with the support of social centers and in collaboration with local public authorities, responses to their needs and those of the community, fostering a vibrant local democracy and a fairer society.
