ABF - ASSOCIATION DES BIBLIOTHECAIRES DE FRANCE

Founded in 1906 and recognized as a public utility in 1969, ABF is the oldest association of librarians in France. It is the' association of all·s professional librarians and volunteers who reflect, debate, train and promote the role of libraries in society. It has more than 2,000 members of·s: professional· of libraries or concerned· of the book and the digital' universe as well as the different culture and'information supports, the different institutions or communities. It is based on a partnership with the inter-profession of books and information (publishers, booksellers, etc.) and structured international relations within the framework of various international cooperation bodies (IFLA, EBLIDA, LIBER).
