OFFICE FRANCAIS BIODIVERSITE / PARCS NATIONAUX

The French Biodiversity Agency was created on 1st January 2020 to address the challenge of protecting and restoring biodiversity in metropolitan France and overseas regions. The public institution is under the authority of the ministry of Ecological and inclusive transition and the ministry of Agriculture and Food. His five complementary tasks are : knowledge of, research and expertise on species, environments and their uses, policing the environment and policing wildlife health, supporting the implementation of public policies, managing and assisting the managers of natural areas and supporting stakeholders and mobilising society.
