Saint-Esteve-Janson : Protection du théâtre de verdure et des festivités
- Outdoor landscaping, street furniture and accessibility
- Roads: equipment and services
- Securing spaces and places: fire, alarm, access, health and safety risk plan
Contexte
The city of Saint-Estève-Janson (13), which has a population of 369, has a Théâtre de Verdure, a green open-air theatre where numerous shows, cinema screenings and other festive events are organised. Since 2022, vehicle access has been banned on the road running alongside the theatre for safety reasons, particularly in view of the Vigipirate plan. The local authority wanted to make this a peaceful and safe place for festivities, particularly during the summer months.

In order to create a perfectly sealed area that would be inaccessible to vehicles during the events, we studied the project and then recommended the installation of manual CITEASY BOOST - LOW POSITION bollards due to the low level of estimated use. The bollards are in the down position most of the time to allow vehicles to pass normally, and are only raised during festivities to block access. BES was also responsible for monitoring the project in conjunction with the local company specialising in earthworks, which installed the equipment.
