CNES (French Space Agency - french National Centre for Space Studies) is the public establishment responsible for proposing French space policy to the government and implementing it within Europe. As a major player in technological innovation, economic development and French industrial policy, CNES has created Connect by CNES, which facilitates access to satellite technologies and data and fosters relations between start-ups, companies of all sizes and institutional players. CNES is behind SCO (Space for Climate Observatory), which supports the development of operational tools for political decision-makers and the general public, drawing on satellite and socio-economic data to help understand and adapt to climate change.
