Created in 1948, the National Union of Directors General of Territorial Authorities is a professional organization which brings together territorial leaders of local authorities, EPCIs, and public establishments.
The union today has 4,000 members within regional unions, broken down into departmental sections.
"Keystone of communities", the DGS are at the top of the administrative hierarchy, collaborate in synergy with agents and the political sphere, ensure coordination between the two, in order to lead the organization with a concern for the general interest and local development.
