The french national fishing federation, approved for aquatic environment's protection (FNPF), is the institution representing freshwater fishing and french aquatic environment's protection. It was created by the Law on Water and Aquatic Environment of December 30, 2006, which recognizes its public utility dimension. Its official constitution took place on February 5, 2007. Thus, it replaces the French National Union of fishing and aquatic environment's protection, wich was founded in 1947.
The FNPF was officially established as an Environmental Protection Association by ministerial decree of February 7, 2013.
