Low-carbon region Lab
Towns, cities and regions are at the heart of the move towards carbon neutrality.

Towns, cities and regions are at the heart of the move towards carbon neutrality. They are the driving force behind programmes designed to expedite the transition towards renewable energies and are similarly ramping up programmes that focus on saving energy and resources across their entire stock of public buildings, facilities and infrastructures, sometimes by supporting work efforts in the private building stock.
Energy models are being transformed, becoming more regional and diversified and promoting the development of energy mixes and decarbonised, energy efficient solutions. In order to reduce the impact of our lifestyles on the climate and decarbonise them at every level, usages need to be adapted for buildings, construction and renovation, methods of travel and mobility, and the development and modernisation of infrastructures based on more localised production and consumption methods for energy and electricity.
