La Camia
- Waste collection and sorting at source
Contexte
Founded in Grenoble in 2020, Ficha helps local authorities improve their waste-sorting performance through data.
In response to the rising costs of sorting errors and the increase in the waste tax (TGAP), the company developed Camia, an AI-powered sensor embedded in garbage trucks.
Camia identifies more than 80 types of waste in real time, geolocates each pickup, and provides municipalities with a detailed dashboard to target awareness zones, track the impact of actions, and reduce sorting errors.
Acteurs
The Camia project is developed by Ficha, a Grenoble-based startup founded in 2020 by Vincent Hipault and Hubert Ménard. The team brings together experts in AI, hardware, and IT, along with a sales and marketing team dedicated to deployment and data optimization for local authorities. Camia relies on INRIA, NVIDIA, and Motec, with local assembly carried out by Ateliers SIIS and ADMF. Deployed with partners such as Suez, Nicollin, and Paprec, the solution enhances waste-sorting quality and traceability.
