Création d'une unité mutualisée de lavage, de stockage et de gestion logistique de contenants alimentaires réemployables
- Equipment and services for mass catering
Contexte
The Semelog was created in response to France's AGEC and EGAlim laws, which require the reduction of single-use plastics and the promotion of reusable solutions in collective catering. Founded by Syrec and Tables Communes, this local public-private company manages the washing, storage, and logistics of reusable containers. By pooling resources and ensuring hygiene and traceability, Semelog provides a concrete, public, and sustainable answer to these environmental and legal commitments.
Acteurs
The Semelog is supported by a network of public and private stakeholders: on one hand, local authorities (municipalities and departments) that are shareholders of the company, and on the other, public central kitchens, the direct beneficiaries of its services, which prepare the meals. In addition, private partners and investors (banks, investment funds, logistics companies, equipment suppliers), together with public institutions, co-finance the initiative, provide washing, logistics, and traceability technologies, and help build an innovative and replicable model.
