Mobilité dorée ; réduire l'isolement des seniors
- Services and systems for the elderly and dependents, safeguarding independence
Contexte
Seniors progressively reduce their travel perimeter with age, due to cognitive and psychosocial barriers. In 2023, they represented more than a quarter of road fatalities, with increased risk after age 75. The project aims to maintain their current mobility as long as possible, by offering orientation workshops, practical situations, and support towards new mobility solutions. The challenge: act simultaneously on psychological and physical mobility to preserve autonomy, combat isolation, and improve the quality of life of elderly people.
Acteurs
Under the leadership of Pimms Médiation Artois Gohelle, the project is being deployed with the support of several partners. The City of Liévin (62800) is the main partner through its Social Cohesion Department directed by Frédéric Talaga, mobilizing notably the CCAS and municipal services. The urban transport operator TADAO is involved with free transportation. Funders include Malakoff Humanis, CARSAT and the Conference of Funders. The project team brings together project managers, facilitators and specialized professionals (psychologists, occupational therapists, mobility educators).
