Faced with the persistent limitations of traditional lifeguard training — too few realistic scenarios and insufficient preparation for vigilance in complex environments — AquaRescue VR® provides an innovative technological and educational solution. Through immersive virtual reality, it develops anticipation, risk detection, and decision-making skills in realistic conditions, thereby strengthening drowning prevention. Training lifeguards means saving lives before they are even in danger.
Acteurs
The development of AQUARESCUE VR® brings together a broad ecosystem of training and water safety stakeholders: BNSSA, SSA, and Lifeguard Instructor training centers, universities, the CNFPT, aquatic facilities, and CAEPMNS. The solution also supports continuing professional education, serves as a public awareness tool, and helps inspire new vocations among secondary school students, fostering a shared culture of aquatic safety.
