EcoArrosage

  • New water resources, re-use of reclaimed waste water, rainwater

Contexte

The Bordeaux metropolitan area is committed to reducing drinking water consumption.
The EcoArrosage solution offers alternatives to drinking water for irrigating the grass-covered tramway platforms in Bordeaux. A team made up of technical experts, representatives from the metropolitan authority, and the TBMouv! Lab is testing local, sustainable, and practical solutions. Complementing a reduction plan that has already cut water consumption by 55% and an experiment with less water-demanding plants, EcoArrosage identifies alternatives to the use of 76,860 m³ of water per year.

Acteurs

The EcoArrosage solution is supported by the TBMouv! Lab, led by the Projects & Innovation Department of Keolis Bordeaux Métropole Mobilités. Funded by Bordeaux Metropole through its Innovation Fund, it is developed by business experts from Keolis' CSR and Maintenance departments, together with two industrial partners: AKVO, a specialist in water recovery and reuse, and Gesolia, an expert in sustainable water resource management.
