Réseau de Chaleur Urbain de l'Agglomération d'Agen
- Low-carbon buildings, construction modules and renovation
Contexte
The Urban Heat Network project of the Agen metropolitan area, initially designed for public buildings, addresses the need to decarbonize the territory by recovering heat from waste combustion, contributing to the goal of a 75% reduction in GHG emissions by 2050. UPSA, the department's largest private employer, has chosen to invest in connecting its industrial sites, cutting emissions by 1,500 tons (–30% of its carbon footprint). UPSA's participation extends the project's impact and demonstrates the driving role of an industrial company in the local energy transition.
Acteurs
This project represents a collaborative effort between the Agen metropolitan area, the City of Agen, UPSA (the first private employer in Lot-et-Garonne) and the operator IDEX.
