Contexte
AUPE brings together farmers, local authorities, businesses, and consumers around a common goal: improving the quality of drinking water in priority catchments in the eastern Mayenne region. Faced with the challenges of diffuse pollution linked to nitrates and plant protection products, AUPE is implementing a Payment for Environmental Services scheme. This voluntary scheme rewards agricultural practices that promote the preservation of drinking water resources. AUPE is a local water alliance, built on trust, fairness, and shared commitment.
Acteurs
AUPE is based on a shared and collaborative governance model. Its Board of Directors is structured around four complementary constituencies.

4. Consumers and users
This constituency structure allows for open and transparent dialogue, where every voice counts.
Strategic decisions are made in consultation, in a spirit of co-construction, to ensure actions are effective, fair, and adapted to the realities on the ground.
