- Rural communities
Contexte
Ville aux Roses neighbourhood in Châteaubriant (44) and rural areas: poverty rate 18%, unemployment, single-parent families, elderly people. Together with the Intercommunal Socio-Cultural Centre, we offer activities to boost residents' self-esteem, preserve mental and visual health, develop cognitive health, and compensate for social and territorial inequalities. IT is a means to an end, and we offer a simplified but comprehensive, inexpensive system with group workshops in the neighbourhood, refurbished computers and personalised support.
Acteurs
Intercommunal socio-cultural centre of Châteaubriant (44),
and the municipalities of the Châteaubriant-Derval EPCI, as well as the Pays de Retz, the St Nazaire region,
and small municipalities in rural areas of Loire-Atlantique.
We also work with local associations and retirement homes.
We 'reach out' to communities with a camper van converted into a mobile computer room.
Our approach is to 'work with' rather than 'work for' people, which is why we offer ongoing support from employees and volunteers on a personalised basis.
