Chasseur de Solitude

  • Services and systems for the elderly and dependents, safeguarding independence

Contexte

Today in France, 2 million people over the age of 60 are experiencing social isolation. Even more alarming, 750,000 live each day in a state of social death. In just four years, this number has increased by more than 40%. These figures, combined with the demographic aging of the population, should prompt us to reflect collectively on how we build our society. One solution lies in the commitment of every citizen to connect with those who are isolated. This is the message we carry through Chasseur de solitude.

Acteurs

Locally, the deployment of Chasseur de solitude relies on the involvement of three stakeholders.: the association Petits Frères des Pauvres, which initiated the approach; the local authority implementing the initiative in its area; and the residents who are actively involved with isolated elderly people in their community. We firmly believe that one of the solutions to social isolation lies in mobilizing society as a whole.
