Oasis BORVO

  • Outdoor landscaping, street furniture and accessibility

Contexte

Faced with intensifying heat waves and growing resource scarcity, BORVO is reinventing urban design with autonomous, bioclimatic furniture that is both frugal and decarbonized. Requiring no connections or civil works, it captures rainwater and atmospheric humidity to cool, green, and engage communities sustainably. Designed for dense, touristic, or heritage areas, it transforms paved surfaces into living micro-ecosystems that foster biodiversity and collective well-being, a concrete, reversible solution for more resilient and desirable cities

Acteurs

BORVO (JEI) brings together an ecosystem of partners from design, engineering, and research. Led by Rodrigo Morales Pomarat, designer and public project consultant, it relies on a Breton industrial partner, also CTO and shareholder, Xavier Duveau, who oversees design and production. Supported by Cluster Meca (structural engineering), LG2TERRE and SADAL (hydraulic and IT engineering), as well as the VIPE Technopole / Emergys Bretagne, BORVO works with pilot municipalities, the Eurométropole of Strasbourg, and the Brittany Region to validate its impacts and deploy sustainable urban solutions.
