PROJET InspiRe
- Public transport
Contexte
InspiRe is a project that combines transport infrastructure, urban redevelopment, energy production, and citizen participation. Its aim is to rebalance public space in favor of public transport, cycling, and walking, by reducing the dominance of private cars.
It is built upon a restructuring of the bus network, with a 20% increase in service provision and the creation of two high-capacity tram-bus lines spanning 27 km. The project's innovative character lies in its support mechanisms, which blend proven, effective technical solutions with forward-thinking innovation.
Acteurs
The collaboration around InspiRe enabled the structuring of a strengthened intercommunal governance, leveraging internal expertise while opening up to technical, civic, and private partnerships. It facilitated the experimentation of innovative consultation tools and real-time urban management technologies that would have been difficult to deploy by the local authority alone. This synergy enhanced citizen engagement and elevated the metropolis's image as a pioneering territory
