Finalists Energy Sobriety Category
PUMP-ILLE-UP
Perros-Guirec Turbine Project
The project involved integrating a turbine into an urban water network, at the base of a reservoir, in order to harness energy that had previously been dissipated. Initially, a regulation valve reduced the pressure to allow 280 m³/h to flow into the reservoir, resulting in energy loss in the form of noise and heat.
Now, a turbine installed in a bypass performs the same hydraulic function as the valve while converting this energy into electricity. The turbine delivers a power output of 32 kW and produces 100,000 kWh per year, entirely self-consumed by the nearby filtration plant, thus covering 20% of its energy needs.
Objective : strengthen territorial resilience in the face of climate change.

LA FICHA
Camia
Founded in Grenoble in 2020, Ficha helps local authorities improve their waste‑sorting performance through data. In response to the rising costs of sorting errors and the increase in the TGAP tax, it has developed Camia, a sensor embedded in garbage trucks. Equipped with AI, Camia identifies more than 80 types of waste in real time, geolocates each collection, and provides municipalities with a detailed dashboard to target areas for awareness campaigns, monitor the impact of actions, and reduce sorting errors.
