Médiation et Maison de Santé

Contexte

The development of health centres in rural areas helps address medical deserts. The local authority wanted to involve mediators to make these places not only healthcare facilities, but also living spaces that foster social connection. The mediators welcome, engage with and support people in order to facilitate access to healthcare-related procedures and effectively combat isolation and non-take-up of care.

Acteurs

The project brings together Pimms Médiation Bourgogne du Sud, responsible for reception, mediation, and operational coordination; the municipality of Cours, which manages and funds the health centre; healthcare professionals, who identify needs and guide users; health and access-to-rights partners, who provide expertise; and the Pimms Médiation National Network, which supports the replication of the initiative.
