Lien SOS

Contexte

Lien SOS addresses a major challenge in the rapid care of vulnerable people: enabling emergency services to access essential medical information about a frail or isolated person, even when they are unable to provide it themselves. This information is stored in a designated location in the home and is accessible in the event of an emergency. This provides local authorities with a tool that is simple to implement, creating a tangible link between vulnerable people, local authorities.

Acteurs

Lien SOS is run by a team dedicated to rolling it out to local authorities. Its implementation relies on local councils and CCASs, which purchase the system and are free to choose how it is distributed: to all residents or to priority or vulnerable groups. Lien SOS also involves emergency services, in particular the fire service (SDIS), who are informed of its existence and how it works so that they are aware of its presence during home visits.
